Portfolio Manager/ Investment Director

Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced portfolio manager/investment director to join our team.

The successful candidate will possess a deep understanding of investment strategies, asset

management, and client relationship management. This role involves direct interaction with advisors,

vendors, and clients to ensure the effective implementation of investment strategies and the

management of advisory programs.

Key Responsibilities:

Investment Strategy Implementation:

• Discuss and implement investment strategies focused on asset allocation and retirement

distribution.

• Make informed investment recommendations based on market trends and client needs.

401k Plan Coordination:

• Assist advisors and coordinate with vendors to provide comprehensive 401k plans and

administration for business clients.

Client Relationship Management:

• Assist advisors in maintaining and securing client relationships.

• Field calls from clients regarding current market conditions and provide insightful responses.

• Support advisors in winning new business opportunities when necessary.

Trade Execution:

• Execute trades requiring a series 7 license as needed.Advisory Program Management:

• Manage all advisory programs/accounts, including tax loss harvesting, rebalancing, portfolio

construction, dynamic asset allocation, and alternative investment options.

Market Analysis:

• Monitor and analyze market trends to maintain a current market outlook and inform investment

decisions.

Investment Operations Leadership:

• Oversee the investment operations department, ensuring success in onboarding, rollovers,

service calls, compliance, and fostering a strong customer service culture.

Qualifications:

• Proven experience in investment management, portfolio construction, and asset allocation. 

• CFA or scheduled for the first exam, ideally series 7(this will be required either with or without the CFA)

• Strong understanding of retirement distribution strategies and asset allocation. 

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work collaboratively with advisors, vendors, and clients.

• Strong leadership skills with experience in managing operational teams.

• Proficient in market analysis and making data-driven investment recommendations.
