The Boys and Girls Club of Joliet is looking for a dedicated Branch Director who is committed to creating a safe and nurturing space for our youth to learn, grow, and succeed.

Your Role: Shaping Futures and Building Community

As the Branch Manager, you’ll lead the daily operations of our unit with a primary focus on delivering programs that truly make a difference. You’ll manage a committed team, develop, and guide impactful youth programs, and ensure our facilities are welcoming and safe. You’ll also engage with parents, community leaders, and volunteers to support our mission, ensuring every child has the opportunity to reach their full potential.

Key Responsibilities:

Leadership:

  • Develop and oversee programs that align with our mission to promote positive youth development.
  • Foster an environment where every member is encouraged to explore their interests, build skills, and grow in confidence.
  • Lead by example, providing guidance to both youth and staff while ensuring their safety and growth.
  • Collaborate with the Director on staff development, offering coaching and feedback to nurture a strong, cohesive team.

Program Development & Implementation:

  • Create programs that prioritize health, safety, and the unique needs of our members, embracing the diverse backgrounds of the community.
  • Ensure staff understand and maintain high program standards and that our facilities are always welcoming and accessible.
  • Continuously evaluate programs, adjusting to better serve the evolving needs of our youth and community.
  • Manage budgets with a focus on maximizing resources to create the greatest impact for our members.

Supervision:

  • Inspire and support staff and volunteers, offering meaningful feedback and creating opportunities for growth.
  • Ensure accurate record-keeping of program achievements, daily participation, and community impact stories.
  • Lead staff in maintaining a positive and inclusive environment where all youth feel valued and supported.

Resource Management:

  • Oversee the branch’s financial resources and assist in budget development to align spending with program goals.
  • Ensure the Club’s physical spaces and equipment are well-maintained and available for both members and community events.
  • Foster a collaborative, mission-driven team culture by leading regular staff meetings and professional development opportunities.

Community Engagement & Visibility:

  • Enhance the Club’s presence by promoting programs and events, connecting with local organizations, and sharing stories that highlight our impact.
  • Work closely with volunteers and community partners to expand our reach and strengthen support for our mission.

What We’re Looking For:

  • A four-year degree or equivalent experience in a related field.
  • At least 2 years of experience in a similar youth-focused organization, with demonstrated success in program development and team leadership.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills, with a passion for inspiring others.
  • Experience in managing budgets and facilities, and a track record of effective fundraising.
  • A commitment to making a positive difference in the lives of young people.
  • Bilingual skills are a plus but not required.
