Private Wealth Associate

Boston, MA

We are seeking an experienced Private Wealth Associate and CFP® professional to join a growing private wealth management team in Boston. This role combines comprehensive financial planning and case design with direct client relationship responsibilities.

You will partner closely with a Private Wealth Advisor to analyze client situations, develop recommendations, prepare financial plans and proposals, and participate in client meetings. You will also serve as a trusted resource for clients—answering questions, handling requests, and ensuring their needs are carried through to completion.

We are looking for someone who can think like a planner, communicate confidently with clients, and take ownership through execution.

What You'll Do

Financial Planning & Case Design

  • Build, analyze, and update comprehensive financial plans for new and existing clients.
  • Identify planning opportunities and develop recommendations for advisor review and client presentation.
  • Prepare proposals, scenario analysis, and materials for client meetings.
  • Participate in client meetings and help explain planning recommendations.
  • Develop strategies across investments, retirement, estate planning, tax considerations, cash flow, education funding, and business-owner planning.
  • Evaluate life, disability, and long-term care insurance needs and incorporate insurance strategies into the client's overall financial plan.

Client Relationship & Execution

  • Serve as a trusted point of contact for clients and confidently respond to planning, investment, account, and service questions.
  • Develop a strong understanding of each client's financial picture, priorities, and ongoing needs.
  • Execute client requests, including money movement, distributions, contributions, wires, journals, and other account activity.
  • Support portfolio reviews, investment implementation, and trade execution.
  • Coordinate with custodians and internal partners to ensure requests are completed accurately and on time.
  • Maintain accurate client information, planning data, and documentation within firm systems.
  • Take ownership of client needs from initial request through completion.

What We're Looking For

  • Active CFP® certification required
  • Bachelor's degree
  • Multiple years of hands-on financial planning or private wealth management experience
  • Experience developing comprehensive financial plans and recommendations
  • Strong knowledge of life insurance and risk-management planning
  • Experience working directly with clients and answering complex questions
  • Strong analytical, communication, and relationship-building skills
  • High attention to detail with a strong sense of ownership and follow-through
  • Series 7 or ability to obtain the Series 7 within 90 days of joining
  • Experience with high-net-worth clients preferred
  • Experience with eMoney, Envestnet, NetX360, or similar platforms is a plus

Why Join the Team

This is an opportunity to be deeply involved in both the strategy and execution of private wealth management. You'll work closely with an experienced Private Wealth Advisor, develop sophisticated planning recommendations, build meaningful client relationships, and expand your advisory influence over time.
